Ryan and I loveeee brisket. I got a nice brisket from the store and did a dry and wet rub on it. Baked it in the oven for a few hours and sheesh, I was so proud of myself for making a good brisket all by myself!
Seasoning we put on it:
chili powder, salt, pepper, dry mustard, chopped garlic, sprinkle of sugar, bay leaf, Grandma’s Trini Pepper Sauce, and bbq sauce
If you don’t have a smoker you’re going to want to bake it in the oven at 350 degrees. Leave it uncovered for an hour. Then add a half inch of liquid to the bottom of the pan to moisten the meat as it continues cooking. It can be water, beef stock, or a mix of both. Lower the temperature to 300 degrees now cover it and let it cook for 3 more hours. *cooking tips from food network*
